GreenCloudVPS Review: 13 Years With a VPS Host That Cares

We have trusted GreenCloudVPS with our servers since 2013, almost from the month the company opened its doors. That is thirteen years of renewals, upgrades and support tickets, plus a few hard months when we needed a little more time to pay. In all that time, GreenCloud has never let us down.

GreenCloud has just celebrated its 13th birthday, so this is the right moment to write the GreenCloudVPS review we have wanted to write for years. Below we cover who they are, what they sell, where their data centers are, and the part that matters most to us: their outstanding support.

💡 Kurz gesagt

GreenCloudVPS is an Asia-based VPS host with 30 locations on four continents, fair prices, and support that treats every customer like family.

• Founded in October 2013. A privately owned, debt-free LLC registered in Delaware, USA, with its team in Vietnam.
• Windows VPS, Linux KVM VPS, macOS VPS, dedicated servers and proxies.
• Its own hardware in 32 data centers across North America, Europe and Asia.
• In-house support 24/7 by ticket and live chat, with an average ticket reply of 9 minutes.
• Our verdict after 13 years: reliable, flexible and personal.

🌱 Who is GreenCloudVPS?

GreenCloud was set up in October 2013 by a team that had already spent years designing websites and hosting them for local businesses. The founders needed a VPS with moderate RAM and strong CPU power, could not find one at a fair price, and decided to build it themselves. Their goal from day one was simple: offer affordable and powerful VPS hosting.

The business runs as 365 Group LLC, registered in Delaware, USA, and its operations team works from Greencloud LLC in Hanoi, Vietnam. GreenCloud describes itself as privately owned and debt-free. In a 2022 interview with LowEndBox, the team explained that it reinvests its profits in new hardware instead of taking outside investors, and that it has been profitable since its first few months.

That steady approach is why GreenCloud is still growing after 13 years, while many budget hosts that launched in 2013 have closed. Their motto says it well: “We treat our customers from the heart.” From our experience, they mean it.

🤝 Our story: 13 years as a GreenCloud customer

Asia Virtual Solutions began running servers for GSA Suchmaschinenranker and other SEO tools in 2012. We moved to GreenCloud soon after they opened, and we have stayed ever since.

Hosting is easy when everything works. You find out what a provider is really like when something goes wrong, or when life gets in the way. Like every small business, we have had months when cash flow was tight. Each time we asked GreenCloud for more time to pay an invoice, they said yes. There were no long forms and no conditions attached. They simply helped.

“GreenCloud have always been outstanding. They are flexible, and they make me feel that they appreciate me and my business. When I needed help, or needed to extend a payment deadline, they helped me without conditions.”

Michael Swart, Gründer von Asia Virtual Solutions

That kind of trust is rare in hosting. Many providers suspend a server the day an invoice is late. GreenCloud looks at the whole relationship, not only the due date, and that is why we have never thought about moving.

💬 Outstanding support: the reason we stay

Other hosts can copy prices and hardware. They cannot easily copy a support culture, and this is where GreenCloud stands out.

• Support runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
• The team is in-house. The same people handle new deployments, sales questions, billing and technical problems.
• You can reach them by ticket or live chat.
• GreenCloud reports an average ticket response of 9 minutes. During one Black Friday sale with 450 open tickets, the team still averaged 8.4 minutes.
• A 24/7 Network Operations Center watches the servers and network, so many problems are fixed before customers notice.

Our own experience matches those numbers. Replies come fast, they are written by people who understand servers, and the tone is always polite and patient. Whether we ask a simple billing question or need help with a network issue in the middle of the night in Thailand, we get a real answer from a real person.

A large self-help library. If you prefer to fix things yourself, the GreenCloud documentation has more than 700 guides. There are over 200 Windows guides (Remote Desktop, firewall rules, security), over 400 Linux guides, plus sections for macOS, cPanel and the VirtFusion control panel, such as how to back up and restore a VPS or set up a private network.

👤 The people behind GreenCloud: Dzung Nguyen

Every company reflects the person at the top. GreenCloud’s founder and owner, Dzung Nguyen, is one of the kindest, most humble and most helpful people we have met in this industry. Dzung is always willing to help others, whether that is a long-time customer, a new user with a basic question, or another business owner looking for advice.

You can see that attitude across the whole company. Staff stay for years. At the time of the LowEndBox interview, GreenCloud’s first three employees were still on the team, and most new staff joined through referrals from people who already worked there. A team that looks after each other tends to look after its customers too.

In that same interview, Dzung advised buyers to choose established companies with sustainable prices and to avoid hosts that depend on one person. GreenCloud follows its own advice, and after 13 years it has earned the right to give it.

🖥️ What GreenCloud offers

GreenCloud covers Windows, Linux and macOS, from small budget servers to bare-metal machines. All of it runs on hardware the company owns, including AMD EPYC Milan and Genoa processors, NVMe 4.0 storage and a 10Gbps uplink as standard on most ranges.

*Starting prices on GreenCloud’s website in November 2026. Prices change with promotions, so check the plan page before you order.

Linux plans run on KVM, the virtualization built into the Linux kernel, and Windows plans run on Microsoft Hyper-V. Both give every VPS its own guaranteed slice of the server. Every VPS comes with IPv4 and IPv6. Windows plans give you full administrator access through Remote-Desktop, and Linux plans use the VirtFusion or SolusVM control panel, so you can reboot, reinstall and manage backups yourself. GreenCloud also promises 99.99% network and power uptime, backed by dual power feeds and redundant network uplinks.

🌍 GreenCloud data centers around the world

GreenCloud operates in 30 locations and 32 data centers on four continents, with more than 600Gbps of total network capacity. Its network uses tier-1 carriers such as Arelion, Lumen, NTT, SoftBank, IIJ and Telstra. Because the company is based in Asia, its Asian coverage is especially strong, with three Tokyo options, three in Singapore and two in Hong Kong.

Before you order, open the GreenCloud data centers page. It lists a test IP for every location, so you can ping each one and download a test file from your own computer. For a website, pick the location closest to your visitors. For SEO tools, pick one close to the sites and proxies you work with. 🎂 GreenCloud turns 13

GreenCloud celebrated its 13th birthday from 26 to 31 October 2026 with six days of thank-you offers for customers:

• A birthday flash sale with special “1313” VPS plans, some with double resources.
• 13% cashback as account credit on qualifying orders of $500 or more.
• Six months free when you bought or renewed a standard Windows VPS for 12 months.
• A birthday prize wheel with account credit and other rewards.

The special plans sold out fast, which says a lot about how much the community trusts this host. In their 13th anniversary post, the team thanked customers for 13 years of trust. We would like to return the thanks. Congratulations to Dzung and the whole GreenCloud team.

📌 Good to know before you order

• Most plans are self-managed. If you are new to servers, choose a Managed Windows VPS or use the documentation library.
• Not every plan is offered in every location, so check the order page for the city you want.
• Birthday and holiday flash deals sell out within minutes. The regular plans are always available.

None of these has ever been a problem for us. They are normal for a host that offers this many locations at these prices.

✅ Our GreenCloudVPS review verdict

After 13 years, GreenCloudVPS is still the first host we recommend.

GreenCloud combines its own hardware, a wide global network and fair prices with something money cannot buy: people who care. When we needed help, they helped. When we needed time, they gave it. That is why we have stayed since 2013, and why we expect to stay for many more years.
