This is what is actually in them, why that is a problem, and what we changed today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udca1 En bref<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:19px;font-weight:600;line-height:1.5;\">The default About Yourself and Blog Comment text is shared by nearly every GSA SER user alive &mdash; which makes it the one footprint no verified list can fix for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px;line-height:1.6;\">From today, every project built through GSA SER Builder generates its own profile and comment text, written for that site&rsquo;s audience, in that project&rsquo;s language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list avs-li avs-li--check\">\n<li>The stock About Yourself field draws from the same fixed pools \u2014 around 100 first names, 100 surnames, and 100 town names \u2014 in every project it has ever been pasted into.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The stock Blog Comment field is a harvested spam corpus. Comment filters have had those exact sentences on file since around 2011.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both are English only, so a Turkish, Thai, or Japanese campaign has been introducing itself in English on sites where nobody writes English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The stock comment block also drops <em>ton<\/em> money keyword onto unrelated blogs, because it uses the wrong GSA macro.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Every GSA SER Builder project now ships 50 unique profiles and 100 unique comment templates, in the project language, built from the site\u2019s own audience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd27 What these two fields actually do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both feed the account-creation and posting side of GSA SER, not the article side. Spun together, they produce millions of combinations, which sounds ideal. But the <em>ingredients<\/em> never change. Every project using the default is drawing from the same jar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to check:<\/strong> open your project options, look at About Yourself, and search the text for a town name. If you find a list of Canadian towns that has nothing to do with your business, you are on the community default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What a bad sign looks like:<\/strong> your profiles describe a 34-year-old Nuclear Power Engineer from Baie-Comeau who enjoys obscure films and drives a Bugatti Royale. Comment text the filters already know<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pourquoi c&#039;est important\u00a0:<\/strong> the default comment block is not written copy. It is a scraped set of real spam comments, and it shows. Lines like <em>\u201cI have been surfing online more than 3 hours today\u201d<\/em>, <em>\u201cI will right away take hold of your <\/em>RSS<em> feed\u201d<\/em>, and the one comparing BlogEngine, WordPress, B2evolution and Drupal have been circulating since around 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to check:<\/strong> take any sentence out of your Blog Comment field and search it in quotes on Google. If it returns thousands of results, every comment filter has seen it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What a bad sign looks like:<\/strong> comments that get accepted, then quietly disappear a week later. That is not bad luck. The wrong language on the wrong site<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pourquoi c&#039;est important\u00a0:<\/strong> the defaults are English. If your project is Turkish, Thai, Indonesian, or Japanese \u2014 and your verified list is filtered to that language \u2014 your accounts have been writing English to an audience that does not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to check:<\/strong> compare your project language against the language of both fields. For most users, they will not match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What a bad sign looks like:<\/strong> a Turkish blog, a Turkish article, and an English \u201cGreat post, thanks for sharing!\u201d underneath it. A human moderator needs one second to make that call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Your own keyword, posted on other people\u2019s blogs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pourquoi c&#039;est important\u00a0:<\/strong> this one is a plain mistake in the default block. GSA SER has two families of comment macros, and they point in opposite directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"avs-tbl-wrap\"><table class=\"avs-tbl\"><thead><tr><th>Macro<\/th><th>Resolves to<\/th><th>Effect inside a comment<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><code>%blog_title%<\/code><\/td><td>The title of the page being commented on<\/td><td>Reads like a visitor who actually opened the page<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><code>%meta_keyword%<\/code><\/td><td>A keyword from that page<\/td><td>Reads like a visitor commenting on the topic<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><code>%keyword%<\/code>, <code>%keyword1%<\/code><\/td><td><strong>Your own project keyword<\/strong><\/td><td>Announces your niche on an unrelated blog<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The default block contains the line <em>\u201cYes! Finally something about %keyword1%.\u201d<\/em> On a page about garden furniture, that comment tells the moderator exactly what you are doing. Every other line in the block is generic, which is what makes this one stand out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to check:<\/strong> search your Blog Comment field for <code>%keyword<\/code>. If it is there, take it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"avs-tbl-wrap\"><table class=\"avs-tbl\"><thead><tr><th>Problem<\/th><th>Who it affects<\/th><th>Fixable with a better list?<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Shared name and town pools<\/td><td>Everyone on the default<\/td><td>Non<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Known spam comment text<\/td><td>Everyone on the default<\/td><td>Non<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>English text on non-English targets<\/td><td>Every non-English campaign<\/td><td>Non<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Your own keyword in comments<\/td><td>Everyone on the default<\/td><td>Non<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That last column is the whole point. You cannot buy your way out of this with a better verified list, more proxies or a faster VPS.
